Second Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM 2)
Registration for APEC Media Passes is now open for the Second Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM2) and Related Meetings, Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT), Tourism Ministers Meeting (TMM), Telecommunications Working Group Meeting and Senior Finance Officials Meeting. These events will be held through May and June this year.
Media representatives who wish to cover the Second Senior Officicals' Meeting are required to register online. This can be done via the Domestic and International media registration links below.

Online media registration starts on the 9th of April. Please ensure representative/ s from your organisation have registered before the deadline, Tuesday the 8th of May 2018.
Journalist or Photographer/Cameraman must upload in PDF Format, a copy of:
- Valid Passport Bio-Data Page
- Valid Work ID
- Recent Photo (Portrait/Mug shot)
- Equipment List
- Letter of Assignment (on official letterhead, signed and stamped) from Media Organisation represented.
MEDIA PASS PICK-UP
All accredited APEC Media Passes will be issued at the Official Registration Centre located at the International Convention Centre on Wednesday 9th May 2018 at 8:00 am.
NB: All passes must be collected prior to attending any meeting and be worn at all times to gain access to meeting venues.

PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS
Media representatives coming from overseas are required to possess passports or other applicable travel documents being valid at least six (6) months with press visas upon their entries to Papua New Guinea.
Media representatives from economies who DO NOT have visa exemption agreements with Papua New Guinea, are advised to contact to the Prime Minister Media Unit to get a Letter of Approval.
The following documents (Passport bio data page, Recent Photo, Company ID, Equipment List, Letter of Assignment from your Media Organization and Flight Details) MUST be sent to:

Once you received an Approval Letter, you will then be advised by the Papua New Guinea Foreign Affairs Department of the respective PNG Embassies/High Commissions or Consulates listed on the Papua New Guinea Immigration and Citizenship Services Authority where to pick up your Journalist Visa.
Please download a Journalist Visa Application form fill in and submit. See Link: immigration.gov.pg/visa
You may upload a copy of the Journalist Visa Application (completed) and all relevant documents with your online International Media Registration Application form to be processed by the relevant Papua New Guinea Government Department and Authorities.
If you have a valid Journalist Visa, please proceed with your Registration for the APEC Second Senior Officials’ Meeting and Related Meetings in Papua New Guinea.
You must also upload a copy of your valid Journalist Visa with your Passport Bio-Data page, Recent Photo, Work ID, Equipment List, Letter of Assignment from your Media Organization and Flight details.
NOTE: Government Media or Official Press accompanying APEC Delegates must register as Delegates for your respective Economies.
